I just read through this story on cnn.com. My former roomate and former subversive, Warren who used to contribute to this blog now has his own at Canadian Catholic blog here on blogster is stationed in Columbia right now doing a community livein-in of sorts at the Order of Saint Basil down there. So any news on Columbia will be of interest to me and may end up going on this blog.
What in the world a few months make. In January, Chavez was helping the Columbians with a hostage crisis , now he has sent 10 battalians down to the broder in response to an operation against the leftist group the FARC. This occured on the border with Equador and has drawn fire from Chavez for violating the soverignty of Equador. Cahavez is famous for bluster and bravado and exaggeration that stirs up nationalist sentiment so we will see where this leads but seriously it sounds dubious.
